At this time there a several memory-related errors that are being reviewed by the Topaz Developement team. These errors typically occur with images larger than 5000 x 5000 pixels.
Errors under review:
Unknown Error From GUI
Unknown Error From Engine
Error #3000; Corrupted memory profile
Error: getInData Failure
Our developement team will continue to work on additional memory upgrades.
If you are working with Topaz and run into any of the above errors please try the following temporary workarounds:
1. In Photoshop, please go to Image -> Mode and change the mode to 8-bit (if using 16-bit)
2. Reduce the size of your image
3. If your Photoshop memory preference is set to higer than 60% please reduce this setting and then restart Photoshop.
4. Reboot your computer and close any additional programs or images not current in use.
Another tempoary work around is to process your larger images in sections (1/2, 1/3 or 1/4). To do this, select your Photoshop Marquee tool and create a selection around a portion of your image and then invoke Topaz and make your image adjustments. Please do this to each portion of your image. If using sliders or a combination of presets and sliders be sure to save your results as a new preset for easy application later.
We also recommend upgrading to 64-bit CS5 or higher, which offers better memory management and the ability to work with larger images.
